Office Policies & Procedures
At Mathur & Taylor Orthodontics, we want every visit to feel smooth, respectful of your time, and built around mutual understanding. Below, you’ll find key policies that help us deliver the best possible care and experience.
Scheduling & Cancelling Appointments
Appointments are an essential part of your treatment, and we reserve that time just for you. Please arrive on time. If you are more than 15 minutes late, we may need to reschedule your visit.
If you need to cancel, we ask for at least 24 hours' notice. This helps us offer that time to another patient. Missed appointments or cancellations with less than 24 hours’ notice may incur a $25 fee. We understand that life happens, and we appreciate your communication and cooperation.
What to Expect at Your First Appointment
Your first visit includes a full exam, a review of your records, and a conversation about possible treatment options. Together, we’ll determine if now is the right time to begin care and answer common questions like:
Is treatment needed now, or can it wait?
What will the treatment involve?
Will any teeth need to be removed?
How long will it take?
How much will it cost?
What payment options are available?
After reviewing your case, we’ll provide a clear recommendation and walk through next steps.
Payments
We never want finances to be a barrier to great care. Your treatment plan will include a transparent breakdown of all applicable costs so you know what to expect.
We accept a wide range of payment options, including:
Cash, check, and electronic bank transfers
Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover
Financing through CareCredit
Let us know if you need help reviewing your options. We’re here to make it work for you.
Insurance
Our office is committed to helping you maximize your orthodontic benefits. Because insurance plans vary, we can only provide estimates based on the information available to us. We cannot guarantee coverage due to the complexity of each contract.
We are in-network with several major providers including:
Aetna
Blue Cross Blue Shield
Cigna
Delta Dental
MetLife
Humana
Please bring your most current insurance card to your first appointment. If your coverage changes, let us know as soon as possible. If a referral form is needed, bring it with you at the time of your visit.
We will do everything we can to help you receive full benefits. If your insurance company delays or denies payment, you are still responsible for the account balance. For questions, please feel free to contact us.
