Dr. Simi Mathur, DDS, MS

A smiling woman with long dark hair wearing a blue scrub top and a black jacket with her name and credentials embroidered on it, standing against a beige wall.

Raised in Abilene, Dr. Simi Mathur Martin (she goes by Dr. Mathur clinically) is passionate about giving back to the community of West Texas that raised her. After graduating from Wylie High School, she earned her degree in Business Administration from the University of Texas at Austin and later completed her Doctorate in Dental Surgery from Texas A&M/Baylor College of Dentistry. She went on to specialize in orthodontics and complete her Master’s in Biomedical Sciences from the UT Health Science Center in San Antonio, where she also served as Chief Resident.

Dr. Mathur is a board-certified orthodontist, current vice president of the Abilene TDA, and an active member of multiple professional associations, including the American Association of Orthodontists and the Texas Association of Orthodontists. She brings a thoughtful, patient-centered approach to care, blending clinical excellence with warmth and compassion.

Dr. Simi Mathur purchased the practice (formerly known as Taylor Orthodontics) from Dr. Charles M. Taylor III, DDS, under the name Mathur & Taylor Orthodontics. Dr. Taylor continues to work alongside Dr. Mathur, practicing in the same location.

Outside the office, Dr. Mathur loves spending time with her family and is proud to serve the next generation of West Texas families.

Dr. Mathur grew up in Abilene as one of Dr. Taylor’s patients and shadowed him throughout her training. Returning to Abilene to practice alongside him has always been her dream.
